How to Write for Search Engine Optimization The first step to writing for search engine optimization is to pick your keywords. These keywords must be repeated over and over in your article to the point where people think you might be a little autistic. For example, if your keywords are "John Bigus likes pie" then a great sentence to write is "John Bigus likes pie because John Bigus is a pie liker." It is also important to keep your writing simple, to the point that it is confused with writing samples of elementary kids. For example, if John Bigus has blue eyes, don't bother mentioning how the eyes of John Bigus are a gentle, cerulean shade of ocean blue, because people do not search for cerulean in search engines. You are better shredding off all adjectives and creative prose and instead writing "John Bigus has blue eyes."
