Leap Year
Leap year occurs once every four years in order to correct the amount of time it takes the planet to rotate around the sun. During leap year, an extra day is tacked onto the end of the month of February, the 29th. Being born on February 29th can be troublesome for some people, since the actual day does not occur every year. This causes those that are born on February 29th to either celebrate their birthdays on February 28th, March 1st, or not at all. |
