Multiple Choice Quizzes
One form of an exam that students take in school is the multiple choice test. This format presents a question and several possible answers and the student must pick the best answer to the question. Three to five choices per question is the norm, however any range is acceptable. For a student that has not prepared themselves for the test, multiple choice questions allow the student to guess. Most of the time, there is no penalty to guessing. The SAT, a test students take in preparation for college, does penalize students who guess. Those taking the SATs and are unsure of the answer are advised to leave the question blank if they have no idea about what the answer is. |
